FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
I’m not a DARK N’ LOVELY fan at all. In fact, when i see Dark n’ Lovely,it means relaxers.. lol. But this particular product has something to it. Maybe it about the bright colors on the bottle which i think will really fascinate young girls and some teens like me or something else. I bought this product spontaneously because my hair really needed a wash and all other shampoos i saw were on the high side. I scanned through the ingredients and I didn’t see any scary one and i purchased it!
This shampoo comes in a very beautiful squeeze bottle. I like it this way since it isn’t watery. The shampoo has a thick soft consistency with a purplish white colour. Yes! It isn’t  actually white.
When squeezed out,it’s like ice cream 😀
The smell is so wonderful..it smells like tropical fruits. I can’t pinpoint the actual one.
MY EXPERIENCE:
I used it to wash my hair after a Palm oil pre-poo after i took down my yarn twists and it really cleansed my hair…to the scalp and strands!
It lathers quite well and it left my hair smelling very nice and  not really moisturized and i shed less or no hair.
PROS:
Smells great
Detangles hair
Reduces shedding
Really mild
Thorough cleansing
It’s very mild
CONS:
My hair felt dry afterwards
I would have preferred a softer bottle to enable easy squeezing.
SUMMARY:
I rate this product 8/10 and will definitely get more of it.
I recommend this shampoo for newbie naturals who just begun their natural hair journey as the Product says,”BEAUTIFUL BEGINNINGS” 😀 and students who don’t have much cash to spend.
It can also be used on children as it is specially formulated for them and is very mild.
If you are the natural girl on a budget who loves a good buy…this shampoo is for you!
Mommies too should try this out with their cuties 😀

The second product I’ll be reviewing is the ORS OLIVE OIL REPLENISHING CONDITIONER

I got this product early last month and have used it a couple of times.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner helps to restore moisture, rebuilds damaged hair, stimulates hair roots and works as a deep penetrating conditioner.

Content: 12.25 fl. oz.

PRICE:

I got it at a beauty shop for 1500 Naira. I think it’s a good price for such a big bottle 😀

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

I was too excited to get this product and i read so many reviews before getting the product. This product comes in a long squeeze bottle that is almost see-through.

The colors aren’t really as attractive as the previously reviewd product above..it’s just Plain Jane.

It has a very thick consistency with a very strong citrus scent(WARNING: If you are not cool with citrus,do not buy this product)

MY EXPERIENCE:

I have used this product for about 4 times and i still have more remaining…that’s a plus.

I apply on freshly washed hair, cover with a plastic cap and leave on for 45 minutes. Since it’s not a DIY conditioner, I decided to do as the manufacturer instructed. I washed off with water and this is where u had the problem. I had to use a lot of water before I could get all of the product out.

Nevertheless, it does a very good job on my hair. My hair feels so revived and moisturized after each use although i still have to follow up with a leave-in conditioner.

I  don’t know if this is a protein or a moisture conditioner. Any ideas?

PROS

Smells great…I don’t have any problems with the citrus scent

Replenishes my hair

Leaves my hair moisturized

Can be used for a long time before it finishes depending on how heavy handed you are with products

CONS

It doesn’t wash out easily

I would’ve preferred this product to come in a cup since it’s so thick. I hard a tough time squeezing out the conditioner.

RATING:

I rate this product 6/10

SUMMARY:

As much as i like this product, i won’t want to buy it again as I’m in the product switching phase of my journey!

  1. I love the ors replenishing conditioner. I have used it for years and I would say that size has gotten more expensive; I usually get it for 1000-1200. You should get the 1litre bottle. I got mine for 1,800. I would say the consistency isn’t thick but really light weight. I haven’t purchased in a while though; I switch up my DC every chance I get, heehehehehhehe

    1. Thanks for commenting. I never knew there’s a 1litre bottle. Thanks for the info too but i think i want to be like you…you know..switching store bought deep conditioners because i haven’t found the right one yet 😀

      1. I do mix my DCs too. Your hair looks thick, you might need a thick dc. Try elasta qp argan soy oyl deep conditioner. I got the 33oz for 5k in casabella

  2. 5k? Jeez! That’s huge. 😀
What about the Elasta Qp Mango DC.. Isn’t that one thick as well.. I saw it when i got the ORS but i wanted to give the ORS a try first.

    1. I haven’t tried that one. With the size of the one I have, it will last more than 3 months. Very little goes a long way. Elasta generally is good. My hair is a fan of their products.
